The packet also clarified the district’s traceable communication rules, tightened reporting expectations for alleged criminal activity or child abuse (including off‑campus incidents such as bus stops), and added procedural language to support credit accrual for homeless students who transfer between schools. Staff noted the Education Enhancement Opportunity (EHO) language was aligned to the form already in use and simply formalizes an existing procedure.
Staff said these items require two readings; the board will consider final adoption at a subsequent meeting. The personnel and procedural changes also include a proposed adjustment to allow rank changes to be reflected in payroll twice a year (September and January) rather than a single annual adjustment, a change staff said will benefit faculty pay timing.
No vote was taken on the policy packet beyond the procedural first‑reading acknowledgment; staff will return with a second reading for final action.
