Tecumseh council approves resiliency agreement, lot transfer and pool repainting bid

At the Sept. 2 meeting the Tecumseh City Council approved several routine and project-specific items: a $25,000 agreement with SENDD for an NDEE GRID Resiliency Project, an Economic Development lot transfer to Louis Keim, and a $58,710 bid from Miller Painting and Decorating to sandblast and repaint the municipal swimming pool.
Councilmember Brian Britt moved to approve the agreement with SENDD for the NDEE GRID Resiliency Project, and Councilmember Lorie Topp seconded; the motion carried with all members present voting aye. Later in the meeting, Councilmember Travis Goracke moved to approve the Economic Development Lot Transfer Agreement with Louis Keim and authorize the Mayor to execute the deed; Councilmember Lorie Topp seconded and the motion carried. The Council also voted to accept the Miller Painting and Decorating bid of $58,710 for pool sandblasting and repainting following a motion by Lorie Topp and second by Lance Beethe.
The Council approved the consent agenda—including the Aug. 18, 2025 meeting minutes and payment of city bills—by motion of Lorie Topp, seconded by Tyler Speckmann. All recorded votes on these items were Aye: Beethe, Britt, Goracke, Speckmann and Topp; Alicia Brommer was recorded as absent.
