Tecumseh council approves Arrowhead Drive agreement, WWTP UV system and equipment purchases

The Tecumseh City Council on Nov. 3 approved several procurement and payment items, including a professional services agreement for Arrowhead Drive improvements and a new UV disinfection system for the wastewater treatment plant.
The council approved a $10,500 agreement with Olsson for Arrowhead Drive engineering and related services. The motion was made by Travis Goracke and seconded by Lance Beethe; Goracke, Beethe, Alicia Brommer and Lorie Topp voted in favor and the motion carried.
Council members also approved a $164,400 quote from Trojan Technologies for a UV3000Plus system for the city’s wastewater treatment plant. The motion was made by Lorie Topp and seconded by Alicia Brommer; Beethe, Brommer, Goracke and Topp voted aye and the motion carried.
The council authorized purchase of a 60-inch mower from AKRS for $13,575.00 for use at the fairgrounds. Alicia Brommer moved the purchase and Lorie Topp seconded; the motion carried with Beethe, Brommer, Goracke and Topp voting in favor.
The council also approved Pay Application #7 from Farabee Mechanical for work on the Power Plant Project. Lance Beethe moved the pay application and Lorie Topp seconded; Beethe, Brommer, Goracke and Topp voted to approve the payment.
The council approved these items during the regular agenda without extended discussion. Next procedural steps for the approved contracts include contracting and invoicing as noted in staff reports.
