Silver City CAB votes to ask county to move meetings to 6 p.m.

Members of the Silver City Citizen Advisory Board voted June 8 to request that the Board of County Commissioners permit the CAB to reschedule regular meetings from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Secretary Erich Obermayr said a 6 p.m. start would be "better for people with jobs," and moved that the CAB ask the BOCC for the change. Chair Melissa Friend seconded the motion. The CAB approved the request unanimously.
Commissioner Cassinelli noted any official time change would require BOCC approval; the CAB’s vote is a formal request rather than a final schedule change. The board did not set a timeline for BOCC consideration during the meeting.
