Juno Beach sets 2024–25 millage at 1.8195 and adopts $10.8M budget

At its Sept. 25 meeting the Juno Beach Town Council adopted the fiscal year 2024–25 millage rate and the town’s annual budget.
Staff said the rolled‑back rate is 1.7045 mills and that the council‑adopted rate of 1.8195 mills represents a 6.75% increase above that figure; staff estimated ad‑valorem revenue at $4,226,420 under the proposed rate. The council conducted the second public hearing required under the TRIM process before taking a roll‑call vote. The millage resolution passed 4–1, with one council member voting no.
The council then adopted the general‑fund budget of $10,785,377 for fiscal year 2024–25. Staff indicated the proposed budget is roughly a 6.33% decrease from the prior year’s adopted budget; the council approved the budget unanimously.
Council members who asked questions were referred to staff for line‑item clarifications and the council directed staff to finalize related posting and filing steps required by county and state budget rules. The millage and budget take effect with the fiscal year beginning Oct. 1, 2024.
