Bev Ballog, representing Hometown Heroes, attended the meeting to thank the borough for its support of the project and said she was happy to hear Greer would not accept funds from the suit.
Council President Cross also reiterated that the borough is not organizationally connected to Hometown Heroes but said the council supports the project's cause. The minutes record the exchange as part of the "Hearing of the Visitors" portion of the meeting.
