Council approves $15,000 breakdown to support Enumclaw Fourth of July parade security

City Clerk Jessica read the resolution title by title. Parks Director Lina Hicks (speaker 3) said the resolution would formalize how council-authorized funds would be spent: $8,500 for parade-route barriers, $2,500 for overtime for six additional city staff, and $4,000 to the Enumclaw Chamber of Commerce for security and event staffing. Hicks said the $15,000 had been authorized in an earlier council action and the resolution simply allocated the amounts across barriers, overtime and Chamber staffing. “We recommend approval of Resolution 18 81,” she told the council.
Councilmember (speaker 4) moved to approve the resolution; the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote. The council recorded no roll-call tally in the transcript. The allocation will allow the chamber and city staff to proceed with contracted security and event logistics for the July 4 parade.
