The Properties Committee heard multiple facility updates from Building & Grounds/Parks on June 11.
JT Anderson reported contractors have been to the Health Department to prepare quotes and described concrete repairs and planned renovation of office space at the Animal Control facility. Anderson also said the pool at General Squier has been filled and staff have reduced pressure on the well to avoid continued issues; discussion included the potential need for a new well and concerns about aging infrastructure.
Chairman Bryan Zender provided a brief update on the Imlay City Senior Center lease, noting ongoing efforts to maintain the building and recent HVAC improvements. The committee did not take a formal vote on these infrastructure items during the meeting; they were presented for discussion and follow up.
