The Walworth Town Board met in a special session July 7, 2026, at Walworth Town Hall and voted to go into executive session to discuss personnel-related matters.
Councilman Alex Kelly moved "to enter into executive session to discuss medical, financial, credit, or employment history of a particular person/corp, or matters leading to said dismissal, removal, promotion, appointment, employment, discipline, demotion, or suspension." Councilman Craig Jeffers seconded. A roll call vote was taken and Councilmen Craig Jeffers, Daniel Botsford and Alex Kelly and Supervisor Laura Elsbree voted Aye; the motion carried and the board entered executive session at 6:31 p.m.
Supervisor Laura Elsbree reconvened the regularly scheduled meeting at 9:14 p.m.; a roll call at reconvening again recorded Aye votes from Jeffers, Botsford, Kelly and Elsbree. The board noted there were no communications and no new or other business on the public agenda.
Councilman Alex Kelly moved to adjourn; Councilman Craig Jeffers seconded. A roll call vote approved the motion and the meeting adjourned at 9:15 p.m. The minutes were submitted by Town Clerk Nadine Seppeler.
The executive session was described in the motion as pertaining to private personnel and credit/financial matters; by law, deliberations in executive session are not part of the public record, and the transcript provides no further details about the substance of that discussion.
