Staff then presented a series of separate resolutions to levy and certify special assessments for numerous drainage districts (Anthem Central, Bennett McDonald, Maple River, Orton Slough, Poverty Hollow, Smithland, Smoky Hollow, Weber Creek, Wolf Creek, and several Wolf Creek pump districts). Each resolution was considered and approved separately; most had no levy beyond administrative zero, but the Wolf Creek assessment was $13,200 and Orton Slough had a $100 assessment in the backup material.
Board members discussed whether to add precautionary maintenance funding to future levies; staff said current practice is to levy only when work is done and that the board could request an informational item in the future about precautionary work.
Next steps: county administration will certify approved levies to the county auditor as required. Supervisors thanked staff for processing the multiple resolutions.
