Riverton board recognizes state powerlifting champions, music qualifiers; staff report on buses and safety inspections

The board honored the state championship powerlifting teams: the girls team was recognized as back-to-back state champions and the boys team placed third at state. Coach Arehart and team members attended the meeting for recognition. Students who qualified for the upcoming State music festival were also recognized and two students, Breanna Mitchell and Paul LaTurner, performed individual solos for the board.
Justin Wilson reported on transportation matters, including bus repairs and a transmission replacement on van #7, and said he is working on submitting a bus grant application. In a separate segment the transcript lists Justin Wilson as reporting on maintenance and a recent visit from the State Fire Marshal; the transcript uses different job titles for Justin Wilson in those two segments.

The meeting proceeded to routine business and votes later in the agenda and adjourned at 8:22 p.m.
