Elise, a staff member, told the Public Housing Authority on July 22 that the housing authority will host an annual fair-housing workshop about tenant and landlord rights on July 29.
The workshop will feature the Housing Rights Center, Elise said, and is intended to give community members an opportunity to get questions answered about housing law and renter rights. “We do this fair housing workshop every year, and it’s really helpful to the community,” Elise said. “It’s a good opportunity for communities to come and get their questions answered. We have the Housing Rights Center coming, and they’re very well versed with housing law.”
The announcement came during routine staff reports; the board took no formal action on the workshop during the meeting. The authority previously approved the meeting agenda and the consent calendar before hearing the report. The chair adjourned the meeting at 5:51 p.m. and said the next Public Housing Authority meeting will be Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2026.
