Charlie said the city council approved a $25,000 allocation for the paint and repair grant program in 2025.
Charlie also said the department will roll out new application forms in January that separate paint/repair grants from Certificates of Appropriateness (COAs) and will move the submission deadline to two weeks before the meeting to reduce late filings. He said staff will send an email with the updated fee schedule; the transcript listed proposed fees including $50 for a residential COA, $25 for consultations and $100 for commercial applications, and staff said they will provide formal fee details by email.
Other routine items reported included spring cleanup volunteer recruitment with local high schools and a note that Hobo Spring has flooded and parks staff have been notified. The commission did not take final action on grant-policy changes; staff will distribute the new forms and the updated fees by email and will be prepared to discuss them at the next meeting.
