A presenter announced that vendor applications are officially open for the El Dorado Farmers and Art Market and invited local producers and makers to apply. “I am so happy to report that farmers market applications are officially open for the El Dorado Farmers and Art Market,” the Presenter said.
The Presenter said the market will promote items grown, raised and produced in Kansas and will not accept multi-tier or direct-sales vendors. Interested sellers such as florists, craft makers, prepared-food vendors and fruit-and-vegetable growers were encouraged to apply.
The season opens Sunday, June 28, with the first market at East Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; that day is planned as a kids activities day. After the opening, the Presenter said the market will run every other Sunday through Sept. 8 and will include themed days such as Produce Fest, Kid Entrepreneur Day and Dog Days of Summer.
On market benefits, the Presenter said SNAP benefits will be accepted at select vendors and that the market will again participate in the Double Up Food Bucks matching program to increase purchasing power for fruits and vegetables. “Our SNAP tokens are these little wooden nickels that have our El Dorado flag on them and our Double Up Food Bucks tokens are this purple token this year,” the Presenter said. The Presenter also noted that aqua tokens issued in 2025 can be redeemed this year.
The announcement closed with a call to vendors to submit applications and a link for more information. The Presenter said, “Get your applications in vendors. I wanna see you at the El Dorado Farmers and Art Market.” Organizers directed interested vendors and attendees to experienceeldo.com/farmers-market for details and application materials.
