Danville renames emergency management office, appoints Jeffrey Bascue as director

Shawn O'Neil said he agreed and called it largely a re-titling rather than a shift in responsibilities; the Board noted existing funding was in place for the function.
Shawn O'Neil moved and Scot Barr seconded the motion to change the Emergency Management position and appoint Jeffrey Bascue; Rob Aliberti abstained. The minutes record the motion as passing, and also include the phrase "The motion passed unanimously," which is inconsistent with the recorded abstention. The Board did not discuss separate compensation or the full implementation timeline at the meeting.
