Staff described a rectangular building of roughly 9,800 square feet, about 30 feet to the wall and 40 feet to the peak, constructed of plywood panels selected to better withstand salt exposure.
Charlie noted the proposed building would be roughly 20 feet lower than the prior dome and that the county and city were negotiating an intergovernmental agreement to phase sidewalks across a broader redevelopment area rather than requiring the project to install several thousand feet of sidewalk immediately. Commissioners discussed aesthetics but said the building is utilitarian and moved approval subject to staff comments; the motion passed unanimously.
