Maliga said Brownstein had met neighborhood associations and completed the tasks staff requested and asked the commission to decide so the applicant and the historical board can proceed. She asked for the item to be scheduled within the next five or six meetings if staff is ready.

Maliga said: “I'd like to know if we could get consensus to bring this back and make a decision, and either go 1 way or the other so our residents and the historical board stop either wasting time or can move this forward.”
Staff confirmed the presenter (Bronstein) has completed a presentation and that an update could be scheduled for late March or the first meeting in April; staff also noted the project will include a presentation on soft costs and a budget for moving and renovating the house.
Next step: staff will coordinate scheduling; commissioners indicated they support placing the item on an upcoming agenda so the proposal can be considered formally.
