Hinton trustees approve body-camera budget amendment, library hours change and engineering payment

The Town of Hinton Board of Trustees on Dec. 17 approved a series of administrative and budget actions, including a budget amendment to purchase body cameras for the police department, changes to library hours, and an engineering invoice payment.
The board voted 4-0 to adopt Budget Amendment 2025-03 to fund body-mounted cameras for the Police Department. Mayor Henry Warren made the motion and Trustee Casey McLoud seconded. The item passed unanimously.
The trustees also approved revised hours for the Hinton Public Library as recommended by the Library Board. The new hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m.–5:30 p.m.; Wednesday, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m.–12 p.m. The motion to adopt the schedule passed 4-0 following a motion by Henry Warren and a second from Brian Sweany.
Other unanimous actions included approving Resolution 2024-08, a proclamation and notice of election; acknowledging receipt of DEQ permits SL000008240190 (sanitary sewer line, Facility No. S-20608) and WL000008420199 (water line) to serve Hinton; approving an Authority Having Jurisdiction agreement with the Oklahoma State Fire Marshal; and authorizing payment of an invoice dated Dec. 4, 2024, to LBR, Inc. in the amount of $47,996.00 under the town's engineering contract. The LBR payment was approved on a motion by Henry Warren, seconded by Casey McLoud.
The consent agenda — which included the Nov. 19 minutes and payroll and claims totaling $303,146.54 for November 2024 — was approved 4-0 on a motion by Mayor Warren and a second from Trustee McLoud.
