The council moved through routine business on June 2, approving the consent agenda and confirming one appointment while tabling others.
The meeting’s consent agenda passed after a motion and roll call. Chair (Speaker 4) called the vote; council members recorded affirmative roll‑call responses and the motion carried. No member recorded a dissent on the consent vote.
On scheduled business the council voted to appoint Roberta Davis to the board of adjustments. After a motion and roll call, the appointment was approved.
The council also approved a contractor pay application for work on the clarifier at the wastewater treatment plant, listed in agenda materials as $25,058,836.40. Staff (Speaker 3) said the contractor had started work and this was the third pay application; the motion passed on roll call.
A separate proposed appointment (referred to in the packet as Danielle Barker/Marcus) drew questions about the candidate’s identity and the council said it needed three more names to complete the board and did not finalize that appointment at the meeting.
Next steps: staff will post required public notices where applicable and place the unresolved appointment back on a future agenda.
