Board approves consent agenda, E-Rate SPIN quote and declares mower surplus

The consent agenda approved by a motion of Fonda Reed and seconded by Fi Davis included approval of the Dec. 3, 2025 minutes, the monthly treasurer's report, the activity fund report, encumbrances (General Fund #212–225 and payroll change orders) and a series of fundraiser requests: Ida Doyle (Girls Basketball raffle, Jan. 8–10), Sarah Eaton (Esports athletic gear/Snap Raise), Summer Akin (high school cheer shirts), Hunter Sumner (baseball shirts), Jera Tyler (Sophomore Class brochure sales), Sarah Eaton (Class of 2027 egg-your-yard Easter activity) and Felishae Maupin (donations to the American Heart Association). The roll-call vote on the consent agenda recorded ayes for Fanci Tucker, Fi Davis, Fonda Reed, Darrell Brown and Jim Kunard.
On technology and equipment items, the board approved the E-Rate 2026 SPIN quote with Peak Uptime (motion by Reed, seconded by Davis; recorded ayes: Tucker, Davis, Reed, Brown, Kunard). The board took no action on the Wide Area Network Agreement renewal for FY26 with SkyRider Communications. The district also approved declaring the Dixon Grizzly Bagger mower as surplus and authorized disposal.
In other business, the board approved the appointment of Fonda Reed as the district's 2026 Legislative Liaison. Superintendent Cory Campbell provided administrative reports about student assessment and recognition, including Pre-ACT comparisons reviewed by High School Principal Amy Funkhouser and a reported 32% increase in elementary Accelerated Reading scores.
