Dave Thimmel called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. and read the previous meeting minutes. The board agreed to two clerical edits to the minutes (correcting "Seocnded" to "Seconded" and changing a terminal comma to a period). Iris Waitt moved to approve the minutes as amended; George Rainier seconded. The motion passed 4-0-0.
Thimmel then moved to appoint Randy Beltz as a planning board member; Iris Waitt seconded. The motion passed 4-0-0. Following the vote, Beltz reintroduced himself and expressed interest in serving on the board again.
Under mail and external notices, the board reviewed a returned certified letter from abutters related to earlier public hearings and a notice from the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) that it had accepted a subdivision application filed March 20, 2026 for Map R9 Lot 25. The board recorded the notice but took no formal action on the subdivision at this meeting.
George Rainier reported that a prior applicant had appeared before both the select board and the zoning board of adjustment; the select board approved a building permit conditioned on the road being brought up to current standards.
Members held an internal discussion about goals for the coming year, identifying priorities that included updating the town Master Plan, revising application materials, and improving the planning board's website. Susan Stockwell attended the meeting to learn about what serving on the planning board entails.
The board adjourned at approximately 6:55 p.m. on a motion by Rainier, seconded by Waitt; the motion passed 4-0-0. Michelle Hall recorded the meeting minutes.
