The council approved several maintenance and contracting items, including a sewer-cleaning contract, a garage-door repair and authorization to proceed on a community mobilization project.
On sewer work, staff recommended bidding the project; the council accepted a bid to clean 8,000 feet of sewer for $12,365 and approved the contract by motion and roll call.
Members also discussed the damaged bottom panel and opener on the main recycling garage door. A motion to repair the door at a quoted price (discussed on the record as $1,785) was made, seconded and approved after roll call.
Separately, council members reviewed a larger mobilization for moving equipment and signage between communities, during which staff cited a total project mobilization figure of $510,000 and an approximate $25,000 mobilization for the Marion transfer. The council moved to authorize the mayor to sign the letter to proceed and voted to permit staff to execute the next step.
All three items were approved by motion and roll call; specific procurement steps and signatures were assigned to staff.
