Planning Board appoints Bruce Jones to fill vacancy after Bennett’s resignation

The Town of Greenfield Planning Board on June 8 accepted a verbal resignation from member Jason Bennett and moved to fill the vacancy by appointing Bruce Jones to serve the remainder of the term. Chair Dave Thimmel made the motion to accept Bruce Jones; George Rainier seconded, and the motion passed 5-0-0.
Thimmel said he received Bennett’s verbal resignation that morning and that he would request a written resignation letter to document the vacancy. Bruce Jones was present at the meeting and was accepted by unanimous vote to complete the term.
The board also approved amended minutes from a prior meeting earlier in the evening; later in the meeting the chair left and the board adjourned at 8:12 p.m. by a 4-0-0 vote.
