HARTSHORNE, Okla. — The Hartshorne City Council voted Jan. 28 to approve a lease for the city ball fields and to renew the Rodeo Arena lease for Terri Smith.
Taylor Bell presented the ball-fields lease; councilors approved the lease and directed staff to put the lease up for bid if necessary and bring it back to the council in February. The minutes record that an adult league will be run by the Firefighters Association and that the fields may be used for children's leagues.
On the Rodeo Arena, the council approved a motion to lease the facility to Terri Smith for a third year. The minutes record one abstention by James Shaw; all other council members voted yes.
Minutes do not include lease terms, durations, or fees for either the ball fields or the Rodeo Arena; those details will need to be provided when the items return to the council if bidding or contract approval is required.
