Commissioners appoint Christina Collier county clerk and approve tourism board nominee

The board appointed Deputy Clerk Christina Collier as Dundy County Clerk; Collier will be sworn in Aug. 5, 2026. The commissioners also approved Amy Shillington’s appointment to the Dundy County Tourism Board.
Commissioner Tom Richard moved to appoint Deputy Clerk Christina Collier as Dundy County Clerk after the board concluded there was no need for a formal interview because only one application had been received. The motion, seconded by Commissioner Aaron Keiser, passed unanimously; Collier is scheduled to be sworn in on Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2026.
Earlier in the meeting Chairman Sye Tecker recommended Amy Shillington for membership on the Dundy County Tourism Board. Commissioner Keiser moved to approve the recommendation and the motion passed unanimously.
The board also reminded department heads of an Aug. 3 budget workshop and that completed department budgets are due by Aug. 1. Treasurer Penny Denny presented semi-annual financial and tax-collection reports for commissioner review.
