Beaver Crossing board approves pumps, street repairs, permits and nuisance action in June session

At its June 10 meeting the Beaver Crossing Village Board approved several infrastructure and permitting items, including the purchase of two primer pumps for the lift station and a street-repair estimate totaling $48,981.95.
Maintenance Ryan Kratochvil told the board primer pump #2 needs replacement at the lift station and estimated each pump at about $800 to $1,000. Trustee Brandon Mares moved to purchase two primer pumps; Trustee Jere Leif seconded and the motion passed 5-0.
The board also approved Estimate #0607 from contractor Bruce Stutzman for street repairs in the amount of $48,981.95; Mares moved and Foreman seconded, and the motion was carried 5-0. In planning and zoning business the board unanimously approved Building Permit 26-5 (new home, 4278 Van Dorn Rd.), BP 26-6 (front porch addition, 664 406th) and BP 26-7 (storage units, 803 Walnut St.).
Trustees declared 912 Main St a nuisance and directed the village attorney to mail a notice, and approved an addressing decision for a new duplex at 322 Main St (south unit A, north unit B). Clerk Peggy Pankoke reported the Pool House project is complete and the pool is open; she said the pool-house improvements were under budget.
All motions described above passed on roll-call votes recorded as "all aye" 5-0. The board scheduled no further action on the street-repair contracts beyond the approval of the estimate at this meeting.
