The Clark School District 12-2 Board of Education met June 8 in the school library and approved a package of routine business including a $49,124.83 copier/printer purchase and personnel actions for the 2026–2027 school year.
Board President Malory McIntire called the meeting to order at 6:02 p.m., and members moved through the consent and business agenda with unanimous votes on most items. The board approved minutes from the May 11 regular meeting and financial reports dated May 31, 2026, and approved the presented claims list for payment.
In other actions, the board voted to set the public budget hearing for the 2026–2027 fiscal year for 5:30 p.m. on July 13, 2026. The board also approved joining the SWWC Service Cooperative for South Dakota purchasing services for 2026–2027 and adopted the Clark School District 2026–2027 comprehensive plan.
On procurement, the board approved the final copier and printer purchase through A&B Business Solutions for $49,124.83, authorizing that expenditure as part of the district’s 2026–2027 equipment plan.
Personnel moves included approval of a work agreement to hire Shelby Jones as an elementary paraprofessional at $18.00 per hour and a work agreement to hire Renae Mudgett as an elementary paraprofessional at $22.30 per hour. The motion to hire Renae Mudgett passed with four votes in favor and one abstention (Troy Mudgett). The board also accepted the immediate resignations of Shelby Rosenau (basketball sideline cheer advisor) and Karie Popp (elementary paraprofessional).
