The House Resources & Conservation Committee voted to send HJM 14 to the House floor with a DO PASS recommendation. Rep. Fuhriman presented the memorial, which urges congressional and federal agency cooperation with Idaho to pursue increasing reservoir capacity.
Alden Koenig (Idaho Grain Producers) and Lance Sayers (Association of Idaho Cities) testified in support of the memorial. Rep. Raybould moved the DO PASS motion; the motion carried by voice vote. Rep. Fuhriman will sponsor the measure on the House floor.
The memorial requests cooperation from the U.S. Congress, the Department of the Interior and the Bureau of Reclamation on reservoir capacity projects; the committee advanced the memorial by voice vote.
