Priest River council adopts policies, approves fund transfer and schedules public hearing on snow plowing request

The Priest River City Council adopted several administrative policies, approved a state fund transfer and scheduled a hearing on a resident's snow-plowing request during a Dec. 2 special meeting at City Hall.
The council unanimously approved the consent agenda (previous minutes and payables), adopted an updated Code Enforcement Policy & Procedure and an updated Building Permit Policy & Procedure, and approved the 2026 council meeting schedule with one meeting date moved to avoid a community event. Council also approved Resolution 25-061, authorizing a transfer with the State Investment Pool. All of those motions passed unanimously.
On a separate item, the council voted to hear a request from resident Ron Stocking for snow plowing on Finley Avenue at a future public hearing to consider amending conditions of approval for his subdivision/conditional use permit/planned unit development. The motion to schedule the hearing was moved by Council Member Turner and seconded by Council Member Brower; the motion passed 3-1, with Council Member Mullaley opposed and Council Member Wagner voting in favor.
