Representatives of the Angier ABC Board presented their proposed Fiscal Year 2026-2027 budget to the Town of Angier Board of Commissioners during the June 9 special called meeting. The presentation outlined anticipated revenues, expenditures, payroll costs and overhead expenses and included a proposal to add one staff position.
During the presentation the ABC Board said it has a long-term interest in opening an additional ABC store near the town's planned bypass corridor. Board representatives explained that a second location is intended to help offset any potential decline in sales at the existing store once the bypass opens, but they did not supply projections, estimated costs, projected opening dates or staffing plans for a second location.
The Town Board received the budget presentation; the minutes do not record formal action or a vote on the ABC Board's budget at this meeting. No specific funding requests, ordinance references or timelines for the proposed expansion were included in the minutes.
