Gilford board adopts sewer rates, accepts Primex funds and approves police cruiser purchase

The board then accepted $23,225 from Primex as unanticipated revenue and authorized those funds to be used off budget toward purchase of a replacement police cruiser. Later in the meeting the Selectmen approved purchase of a cruiser from McGovern Municipal HQ of Marlborough, Massachusetts, for $45,559. The board directed that $23,225 come from the Primex payment, $22,334 come from account #4210‑735, and an additional $3,443.05 from the same account be authorized to pay for radio work by Ossipee Mountain Electronics; the motion passed unanimously (3‑0).
The actions were presented as routine municipal business; Selectman Benavides made the motions and Selectman Grenier seconded. The board did not receive public comment on the sewer rates or the Primex payment during the hearings.
The board recorded the funding sources for the cruiser purchase and authorized staff to complete procurement and radio installation work.
