Council member T.S. Barker reported an estimate totaling $311,933 for the necessary repairs. CPA Tracy Reed told the council the city had budgeted $350,000 for street repairs, and on a motion by T.S. Barker the council approved the work and the $280,000 contract amount.
The action leaves a budget margin between the approved contract and the amount budgeted. The council did not discuss financing sources beyond the budgeted figure during the meeting.
