Krebs council terminates city treasurer, appoints two council members as emergency bank signers

Acting Mayor Bailey made an emergency motion to appoint Councilmembers Dan ("Danny") Heathcock and Connie Poole as signers on the city’s checking accounts; Jason Wagnon seconded and the council approved the motion. The minutes adopted during the meeting list multiple account types to be updated and state that W. Kay Scott be removed from all accounts "effective immediately."
Pat Layden and Clerk Cindy Cooper discussed preparing a short certified extract of the meeting minutes listing the accounts (including last four digits) so the bank can implement the change quickly.
