Proctor Selectboard signs $101,407.19 in orders, adopts traffic ordinance revisions and reviews FY27 budget draft

The Town of Proctor Selectboard on Nov. 10 signed selectboard orders totaling $101,407.19, approved minutes from Oct. 27 and Nov. 3 and accepted redline revisions to the town traffic ordinance.

Albert Wenta moved to approve the meeting agenda; Jay Thorton moved to approve the Oct. 27 and Nov. 3 minutes. Both motions were seconded and passed unanimously. Later in the meeting the board reviewed and signed orders totaling $101,407.19.

The board reviewed the first draft of the FY27 budget for departments 3010 through 4020. No final budget decisions were made; the draft review will continue during upcoming budget sessions.

By motion, the board accepted all redline edits to the Traffic Ordinance; the motion, made by Jay Thorton and seconded by Linda Doty, carried unanimously. The board did not detail individual ordinance changes during the public minutes beyond noting acceptance of the redline edits.

Departmental reports included a sheriff’s report provided in the meeting packet (6 tickets, 14 warnings, 1 arrest; $889 in fines; total 67 hours) and Town Manager Judy Frazier’s operational updates: quotes for the annual report (RC Brayshaw $3,817; Repro $4,129), bids solicited for tree removal and trimming, rink furnace cleaning and heat-pump checks, and procurement of four loads of salt and sand (the town had not purchased sand for two years). Frazier also said she contacted the property manager for 61 Main Street to discuss securing the building.

The meeting concluded with a motion by Albert Wenta to adjourn at 7:44 p.m., which was seconded and approved.
