Proctor water delinquencies fall; sewer utility begins Lagoon 2 sludge removal

During the Board of Water Commissioners session convened at 6:31 p.m., town staff reported delinquent water accounts have declined from $154,588 to $75,450 as shut-offs continue to reduce outstanding balances. No other business was reported for the water board.
The Board of Sewer Commissioners met at 6:34 p.m. and was told that Lagoon 1 work at the wastewater treatment facility is complete and that five truckloads of sewage were transported from Lagoon 1; staff will begin sludge removal in Lagoon 2. The board adjourned and the Selectboard reconvened at 6:36 p.m.
Also in departmental reports, the Sheriff’s report (in the meeting packet) listed 10 tickets, 13 warnings, zero arrests, $2,025 in fines and 137.5 hours. Town Manager Judy Frazier reported several operational items: a lamp post in the park needs replacement (possible Municipal Recreation Program application), a new fire truck is due this month, an annual report request was sent, work on the FY27 budget is under way, quotes are being obtained for a loader, and hydrants were flushed the week of Oct. 6, 2025.
The Selectboard adjourned the regular meeting at 6:47 p.m.
