The Town of Proctor Selectboard signed selectboard orders totaling $640,647.78 at its Oct. 14 meeting and reviewed procurement options for the town's upcoming propane purchase. Selectboard member Bruce Baccei moved to approve the agenda and later the board approved the minutes of the Sept. 22 meeting; both motions carried unanimously.
The board examined three bids for 4,000 gallons of propane: Suburban Propane at $1.63 per gallon (fixed), Marcell Oil at $2.00 per gallon (fixed) and Proctor Gas at $1.89 per gallon (fixed). Town Manager Judy Frazier said she will review tank-related costs and return the procurement recommendation to the board for an Oct. 27 vote.
Also during the meeting, Selectboard member Albert Wenta moved to authorize and circulate a FY26 Municipal Resolution for a Municipal Planning Grant; Jay Thorton seconded and the motion carried unanimously, allowing signatures to be collected. The town manager also reported consensus to pursue bids and grant applications for planned park improvements.
The meeting packet included a handout of design plans for 52 Main Street for information only, and the manager reported legal follow-up is underway to identify the lessee for a tower at 266 Crestview Drive. The board set an action item to review proposed traffic ordinance revisions at the Oct. 27 meeting and asked members to submit suggested edits to the town manager ahead of that date.
