Selectboard members and residents raised safety and signage concerns. Resident Elizabeth Wamer said a 'No Left Turn' sign at the Coop driveway is difficult to see and suggested the town address the visibility issue. Chair Eric McGowan noted that signs on Route 5 fall under state jurisdiction (VTrans) and said the town will consult VTrans and Highway Superintendent Lenny Howard about possible fixes. Corin "Swift Everdy" Kennedy-Spielman suggested moving Do Not Enter signs closer to the Coop driveway to improve visibility.
Town staff indicated they can update town-maintained signs but will coordinate with VTrans on state-controlled routes. The board did not adopt a new speed limit at the meeting and directed staff to follow up.
