Woodbridge Council adopts traffic and land-use ordinance changes, approves 44 resolutions including fire-district finance application

The Woodbridge Township Council on the evening’s agenda approved two second-reading traffic ordinances and an amendment to the township's land-use code addressing affordable-housing obligations, and passed a package of 44 consent resolutions that includes an application to the local finance board related to fire-district boundary changes.

The clerk presented two ordinances (letters a and b) that delete and add stop-sign locations as a police-department housekeeping project; the council took them up on second reading, opened a public hearing and, with no public comments recorded, adopted both ordinances and submitted them to the mayor for approval as required by law. The council also moved ordinances d through h on first reading; those measures were ordered published on the township website on July 22, 2026, with a public hearing scheduled for Aug. 4, 2026, at 6 p.m.
