After convening in executive session under 1 V.S.A. § 313(a)(1)(A) to discuss a contract, the Putney Selectboard approved a 10‑year lease with VABS, LLC at its May 14 meeting.
Aileen Tulloch moved to approve and execute the lease agreement with VABS, LLC for the purpose of quarry mining, processing, removing and marketing sand for a ten‑year period and to authorize Chair Eric McGowan to sign; Fletcher Proctor seconded and the motion passed. The minutes record the board entering executive session at about 8:10 p.m. and exiting at about 8:20 p.m. before taking the vote.
The minutes do not include the lease financial terms or special conditions; the board authorized execution and directed staff to complete the signature. Town staff should publish the lease summary and any required notices in accordance with open‑meeting and procurement rules.
