Jefferson County commissioners approve on-call consulting agreement, debris-grinding bid and water-treatment contracts

Debris grinding bid: For vegetative debris grinding at the fairgrounds, staff presented two competitive bids: Dan Christiani Excavating at $16,000 and Dirt Works Unlimited LLC at $16,003.35. The board accepted the low bid from Dan Christiani ($16,000) following a motion and second.
Adam Chemical: County staff described annual water-treatment contracts with Adam Chemical for the courthouse and the old jail at $150 per month per contract (total $300 per month). The board approved the renewal for both facilities.
Each item passed by voice vote. County staff said the contracts are comparable to previous agreements and that the debris-grinding work will leave chippings on-site.
