The Town of Trent Woods Board of Commissioners approved two fiscal-year amendments for FY 2024–25 during a special meeting on June 24, 2025.
Mayor Charles F. Tyson, Jr. presented Budget Amendment No. 7 (line-item transfers) and Budget Amendment No. 8 (departmental transfers). Commissioner Dan Murphy moved to approve both amendments, Commissioner Shane Turney seconded, and the motion carried unanimously. The adopted amendments are dated June 24, 2025.
The amendments reassign appropriations within the General Fund without changing department totals. Examples shown in the amendment text include a Police net increase of $7,175 (account group 10-510), Information Technology transfers totaling $2,000 (10-450-3400/4000), and Streets & Highways transfers of $505. The document also lists smaller transfers across governing body, administration, finance, safety, buildings & grounds, zoning & planning, animal control, parks & recreation, and general operating accounts.
Copies of the adopted amendments were directed to be furnished to the Town Clerk, the Budget Officer and the Finance Officer for implementation and record-keeping.
