Councilor Jamie McElmurry moved to accept the Umpqua Sand and Gravel bid of $92,180 to pave the portion of Springbrook Road within city limits; Councilor Robert Chaney, Sr. seconded. The motion passed unanimously with Councilors Rick Held, Cathey Wragg, Robert Chaney, Sr., Diana Larson and Jamie McElmurry voting yes.
Acting Myrtle Creek Lions Club Secretary Joanna Bilbrey requested council assistance with the cost of downtown hanging flower baskets. Councilor Rick Held moved to donate $650 to cover weekend watering costs through mid‑September; Councilor Cathey Wragg seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
