Mayor Charles F. Tyson Jr. read a proclamation at the Sept. 4 meeting establishing Constitution Week from Sept. 17 through Sept. 23, 2025 and encouraged residents to participate in planned activities. Donna Stebbins of the Daughters of the American Revolution described local events associated with the observance.
Mayor Tyson also announced the Yard of the Month (the Myers family) and said a $25 gift certificate from Pinecone Home and Gardens will be mailed to the family. Town Clerk Holly Willis reported Food Trucks are scheduled each Friday during the favorable weather, and she invited the public to a Dog Wash Fundraiser on Sept. 13 from 9 a.m. to noon in the Town Hall parking lot to raise funds for Eagle Scout dog-play equipment at Meadows Park.
The announcements were presented as community updates; no board action was required.
