The board approved two student travel requests. Members voted to approve a Maplebrook/Maplebrook CTC tourism and culinary arts trip for grades 11–12 (March 11, 2026) after confirming an MOU and previous discussion. "So moved," a board member said, and the motion passed by voice vote.
Members also approved a trip to the State Capitol in Charleston for Career and Technology Center gifted students in grades 5–8 to observe the legislature on March 11, 2026. The second trip was moved and seconded and approved without dissent; staff noted the educational purpose and previous outreach to the students and teachers.
