Council backs expedited review for Mosier Community School solar pavilion to meet July federal deadline

Brent Foster explained the building’s roof cannot support panels and proposed a 5,000-square-foot outdoor pavilion to host a roughly 100-kilowatt array; federal funds are scheduled to expire in July, prompting a request for expedited land-use review.
City Manager Andrea Rogers told the council the city can accelerate the process and the council voiced support for the expedited review and the proposed array. Staff were assigned to target a 30-day turnaround for land-use review so the school can meet the funding deadline.
