Mayor Witt Anderson told the council the Joint Use Facility / Mosier Center committee met in December and that the next step is to request funding in the short legislative session in February. He said he had met with Senator Drazen to discuss the project's importance but that no commitments had been made.
Councilor Gary Lindemyer reported the Skate Park Rules Committee had developed a draft set of rules to present to council and planned a follow-up meeting to finalize signage and policy suggestions; Lindemyer said the process is "moving productively." Councilor Noah Estes noted that Breen Goodwin, president of the Columbia Gorge Food Bank, will meet with council staff to discuss collaboration on food security. The council did not take formal votes on funding for the Mosier Center during this meeting; staff were assigned to pursue legislative funding and related next steps.
