Ocean Ridge draft budget shows increases in public safety and infrastructure

She emphasized the draft nature of the document and the commission's caution given pending potential changes to collection methodologies being discussed in Tallahassee. "This is still the draft portion of starting our budget process," the Moderator said, noting staff did not add new positions and are planning conservatively, allocating increases to capital or reserves where possible.
Commissioners asked for further breakdowns by department and a recommendation on a cost-of-living adjustment; the Moderator requested a COLA number before August to finalize personnel-related lines in the budget.
