Council votes to let Midstates RDA membership lapse at established termination date

Councilmembers said the decision allows the city to remain aligned with the RDA's established timeline while avoiding further entanglement or early withdrawal steps that legal counsel said were constrained by prior RDA action.
City counsel noted the practical effect of the vote is to allow membership to expire on the RDA's termination date and to continue monitoring RDA activities and any developments that might warrant reconsideration.
