Council member LaFrance introduced an ordinance establishing a temporary, one‑year moratorium on issuance of any permanent or temporary RV and RV‑park permits in District 7. LaFrance said the moratorium would provide time for a study to determine need and appropriate legislation to regulate RV parks in the district.
The motion to introduce the moratorium ordinance was seconded and the council recorded a machine vote with the motion passing (recorded 8–0). Staff agreed to collaborate on a study and provide reports back to the council.
