Council restores temporary‑sign rules and adds feather‑flag limits in sign-code overhaul

Aaron Vannoy said the changes restore definitions that aid code enforcement and add limits for feather flags including a 10‑foot setback, maximum display sizes and a suggested cap at (planning proposed) six flags per property and no more than 30 days per display period.
Council members and public commenters discussed enforcement practicality and whether six flags per property is excessive; Vannoy said the rule is administrative and can be adjusted if enforcement proves difficult. Rocky Templin and others asked that the ordinance be clear and enforceable at the staff level. The ordinance passed first reading 7–0.
